- w a t c h e d- An advanced Warriors RPG
They say you don't inherit the world from your parents, you borrow it from your offspring.
Many seasons ago, the Clans were forced to rebuild, after deadly sickness left precious few members of each alliance. They bred, and then split from the other cats they used to call Clanmates. They were Wind, River, Shadow and ThunderClans, but now, their kits' bloodlines so diluted, they formed new Clans. BreezeClan, SomberClan, TideClan, and StormClan.
But where could the new Clans go? Many moons of rain it would take to wash the sickness from their current habitat, and the revolting stench had brought foxes and badgers to prey on the cats and what was left for the cats to eat themselves.
But StarClan, who remained as it was before and after the changes, granted the four revived Clans an oasis. The territories, it seemed that they were the hunting grounds of StarClan themselves, with infinite prey - at least for Greenleaf. The hardships were not gone, no. The struggles of leafbare, quarrels, and sickness, though more mild than the previous bout, were casualties these cats were used to, and were able to overcome as the moon waxed and waned. StarClan said they would do whatever was within the limits of their powers to make life easier for these hard-done-by cats, should they work for it.
And new generations came. They were each told what StarClan had said - if they wished life to remain as it was, they must work. And many did, for many seasons. The most told legends began to fade from cats' minds. But every cat still knew that they must work for their oasis. Soon, what would be the unthinkable before, began to happen. Cats began to drop their duties to StarClan, and quickly became vain. What was worse, they taught their kits to be that way, and the kits taught their friends.
And StarClan could not watch this continue. The Clans had broken their promise. They plucked kits out of the Nursery, where kits wait and play before being born, aging them, to send down as warriors with a sole mission - to get their apology, and a compensation. These warriors formed a new Clan - WatchedClan. But these cats were loyal to StarClan, perhaps too much so. They became even darker than SomberClan, and set out to kill the cats who disobeyed their ancestors.
Perhaps entrusting it to our young was not as a bright idea as we'd hoped it would be.
