RELEASE YOUR INNER EMOTIONS
Lonely cold night. The moon shines brightly above forests, and rivers, and dens. Wolves look up to it and turn to one another for a hunt. Dashing through the trees, they howl and sliver under branches. They spot it. A deer. It is rather unusual that a deer be on it's own. But there is no time to think. Hunger is all that crosses your mind. Food. Claws scrape the earth as you look at your fellow pack members. Lead Hunter smirks as he looks at you: now. All wolves race towards deer as it runs away in fear. But now is no time to care for it's emotions. It's time to think about yours. And all you're thinking about is hunger. Hunger and rage.
NEVER SHOW TRUE FEELINGS.
Sun comes up, you yawn and look for Her. Her is not here, scamper upstairs. Her is nowhere to be seen. Maybe backyard? Trot out little door, Her's Father watches over you angrily. You know he hates you. But it doesn't matter. Look out to pasture. Out to trees, out to forests. Long to run wild and free out there. Collar pats against your chest. It pesters you. But if you try to take it off like last time, you end up in big dog prison with all the other dogs that don't have collar. Big scary man grabs you with net. No. Better keep it on. Her rushes towards you; gives you pats and hugs and kisses. Want to bark at her. Want to be angry. But if you do, then there would be no supper tonight. And have to sleep outside.
DO WHAT YOU WANT
Grabbing onto her leg, you rip off the sweet flesh as blood drips down your chin. Delicious. Others rips off limbs, and head, and carry it back to pack. Smile because without you; nobody would have taken down this deer. Tail wags as Lead Hunter gives you nod. You have done well. But you could always leave this clan. You can always leave and stay on your own. After all, you're great with or without a pack and you know it. But for now, you won't leave. She's having your pups, and She is the love of your life. You wouldn't leave her for the world. Grab the leg, and drag it with the rest of the Hunters following not far behind.
RESTRICTED BOUNDARIES
Her points at newspaper. What does Her want? To play with newspaper? Why doesn't Her go get it and play with it on Her own? Don't feel like playing. Too tired. Her yells. What does Her want? Don't want to play! Her yells some more. Hand swoops down to you. Smack on your rump. OUCH. That hurt! Bark. Bark loud and push Her down. Her starts to leak from eyes. Her's Father stomps into room. Uh oh. Been bad. Grabs back neck fur. Yelp. Drags you outside, and latches on long rope with chain onto collar. Hits back. OUCH! Night time comes. Look back out to forest. Want to run wild. Want to run free. Look at collar and chain. Then back at forest. Slowly slip off collar, and trot to fence. See big hole be the side, and slip through it. Free.
THE WIND ON YOUR FACE
Give the leg to She, and she nibbles on it tenderly. How sweet she makes you feel as you look over to her flank. Three small figures suckle lightly as you smile. She had created them all perfectly, each carrying your distinct scent. And hers. Walk towards her, and settle on down by her side. She looks up at you. Lean closer to nuzzle her neck. Then look down at pups and lick each one's back and rub chin on the middle one. Beautiful moment. What shall you name him?
MUD ON YOUR PAWS
Finally free from rules. Free from limits. Free from boundaries. Yip happily as you turn to see several other dogs following your lead. They have followed you? They say they saw you escape, and followed. This is happy moment. They all yip and bark in delight; but you tell them to keep quiet. Don't want Them to hear and come after dogs.
SOMETHING STRANGE
Head jots up. Something strange smells. Run out of the den, and others are there as well. All gathered and Alpha emerges from cave. Her eyes narrow. They look at you.
A new scent has come. Something different.
SOMETHING STRANGE
Scamper over roots, under bushes, all play and tag each other as freedom finally showed itself. Smile can not be hidden from your face. Tail wagging uncontrollably, but you stop.
Everyone else stops as well. You look at them. They look at you.
A new scent has come. Something different.
Close your eyes to take it in some more. Turn again, but...everyone is gone. All alone. Alone again and scared.
Will you join us?
