Rosepetal shared tongues with her foster mother, Lilac, before leaving. She never did know why her real mother didn't take care of her. Rosepetal had heard of different Clans, but thought they were myths. This thought didn't last long when she found Rainshadow. While Rosepetal wound up to pounce on a mouse, a cat about Lilac's size ran straight into her. The mouse ran away. When they noticed that they were both cats, hissing began to occur.

My quick feet moved under me as I chased the rabbit across the expanse. I was moving so quickly, I didn't notice the kitten in front of me. I caught a whiff of mouse as she tripped over the smaller cat. Standing, I turned to his at the kitten, and found her spitting back at me. "Get lost,"I spat. "What's a kitten doing here anyway!" "I'm not a kitten!" The small cat said in defiance. "Yeah," I said with a sarcastic tone. The small cat snorted an sheathed her claws. "Well," She said. "Let me prove it. I'll rip you to shreds."

“Get lost,” the large cat spat. “What’s a kitten doing here anyway?” “I’m not a kitten!” Rosepetal exclaimed and stood up taller. “Yeah,” the cat said. Sarcasm dripped from her voice. Rosepetal snorted and unsheathed her long claws. “Well,” she said bravely. “Let me prove it. I’ll rip you to shreds.” "Whoa there," the large cat said, giggling. "I didn't mean to offend such a brave little kit." The she-cat then stopped the sarcasm. "What's your name?" she asked Rosepetal. "Rosepetal; what's yours?" Rosepetal said happily. She loved making friends, though she didn't have any of her own yet. "The name's Rainshadow," she said sweetly. "I think I've seen you before, but I can't put my paw on it. How old are you, young one?" "I'm 11 moons old!" Rosepetal said, proud of her mature age. "Well, I'm 18 moons old." "So, are we friends now?" Rosepetal asked sweetly. "I don't know; if you would like," she said a little smugly. "SURE!" Rosepetal exclaimed, and they bounded off together to hunt for food.

"Whoa there," i giggled. "I didn't mean to offend such a brave little kit." I decided to drop the sarcasm after that. "What's your name?" "Rosepetal," she responded. "What's yours?" "The name's Rainshadow," I told her, flicking my tail. The small kit seemed familiar. That pelt.... That scent... "I think I've seen you before, but i cant put my paw on it. How old are you, young one?" "I'm 11 moons old?" Rospetal said. She shounded proud of her mature age. "Well," i said, feeling like laughing, "i'm 18 moons old." "So," the small cat said, shuffling her paws. "Are we friends now?" "I dont know," I said in a smug tone. "If you would like." "SURE!" Rosepetal exclaimed. Her exited tone made me laugh. The two new friends set off to hunt for lunch. The headed toward just behind Thunderclan territory. "Have you ever had a crow?" I asked Rosepetal. "No," the young cat sighed. "Well then shut-up." I swiped her tail over Rosepetal's mouth. "There's one now. Watch." Rosepetal sat down and watched as I droped into a bird hunting crouch. Swiftly, the I crept up and jumped on the crow. Rosepetal squealed and ran over. "Mmm," she said licking her lips. "Glad you like it," I said. "Aren't you going to have some?' Rosepetal inquired. "No," I replied shortly. "Why?" "I'm going to catch a rabit when your done." I shrugged. Rosepetal squealed again and quickly ate the rest of her crow. I tasted the air. I quickly caught the scent of rabit and tried to locate the source. I focused on a bush where I noticed a fluffy tail sticking out. Silently, I adjusted my body into the rabbit-hunting position and crept over to th bush. A yowl sounded from behind me, swiftly, I pounced on the rabbit as it tried to escape and killed it. Rosepetal raced up to me. "Who almost scared off my lunch!" I yowled in rage. A thunderclan patrole charged out of the bushes.

The two new friends headed toward somewhere Rosepetal didn't recognize; the only places she knew were near the twoleggers. "Have you ever had a crow?" Rainshadow asked Rosepetal. "No," Rosepetal said, sighing. "Well then shut-up," Rainshadow said, swiping her long tail over Rosepetal’s mouth. She would have to wash out her mouth in a river later. “There’s one now. Watch.” Rosepetal sat down and watched as Rainshadow crouched down to attack the bird. She then crept up and leapt with great force onto the crow, killing it swiftly. Rosepetal squealed in delight and ran over to the larger she-cat. "Mmm," she said, licking her lips from the new and delightful taste. "Glad you like it," Rainshadow commented. "Aren't you going to have some?” Rosepetal asked. "No," Rainshadow replied with an annoyed tone. "Why?" "I'm going to catch a rabbit when you’re done." Rainshadow said, shrugging her shoulders. Rosepetal squealed again and quickly ate the rest of her crow. She still couldn’t get over the incredible and new taste. Rosepetal watched as Rainshadow put her nose in the air, tasting it. She adjusted her body in a funny position and pounced on a large rabbit. Rosepetal raced up to the larger she-cat with a rabbit in her mouth. "Who almost scared off my lunch?" Rainshadow yowled, obviously not happy. A large amount of humongous cats charged out of the bushes Rainshadow was looking in to get the rabbit. “Look who we have here,” a large male cat grunted. “Trespassers.” He swiped out at Rosepetal with no mercy. He stopped when Rainshadow jumped in front of her and hissed. “We’re not trespassing anywhere!” Rainshadow said defiantly. “Yeah!” I mewed. “We were just hungry.” The group of cats all looked at each other and laughed. “And what are you going to do to us, young kit?” Rosepetal dug her claws in the grass while trying to control her anger. Suddenly, a large, sleek black cat with bright yellow eyes pushed through the crowd. “Hi there, Rainpaw!” he said to Rainshadow. Who’s Rainpaw? Rosepetal thought. “It’s Rainshadow now,” she said happily. Rosepetal figured they knew each other. “So what’s your new name, Twilightpaw?” “It’s Twilightshine!” he said. The more he spoke, the more Rosepetal fell in love with him.

The patrol raced over. Hailstorm, who I knew to be the Thunderclan deputy, hissed at them. "Trespassers," he spat, attacking me. "We're not trespassing anywhere!" I snapped. "Yeah!" mewed Rosepetal. "We were just hungry!." The patrol laughed. "And what are you going to do to us, young kit?" sneared Hailstorm. Rosepetal stiffend. A sleek black cat weaved through the patrol. I relaxed as I looked into his familar yellow eyes. "Hi there, Rainpaw!" he said to Rainshadow. Rosepetal looked quiziacal. "It's Rainshadow," I purred. "So what's your new name, Twilightpaw?" "It's Twilightshine!" he said. As he spoke, Rosepetal got a glazed look in her eyes. "You've grown," I said, sitting and curing my tail around my paws. "You must be a strong warrior." I eyed his muscled rippling under is shing pelt. "But Rainshadow," Twilightshine said, a surprised flowing over his face. "What's a Riverclan cat doing here. "I was just going to ask that," Hailstorm sneared. "I'm no longer Riverclan," I said, looking at Rosepetal's taken-a-back face. "I chose to live my life as a loner." Twilightshine dipped his head. "I hope you enjoy it," he said a little sadly. "I will miss you at gatherings." "Now get off our land!" spat a Thunderclan warrior I didn't reconize. I felt my pelt brisle and Rosepetal let out a hiss. Twilightshine glanced at her. "I scented no boundry line," I hissed.back. "To bad," Hailstorm angrily attacking. Rosepetal bolted. I folloeed her, grabbing my rabit first. We stopped running whe we reached the moor. "Who were they?" panted Rosepetal. "That was a Thunderclan patrol." I said befor flopping onto the grass. "Who was that you were talking to?" Rosepetal praticaly whispered. "Twilightshine," I laughed at Rosepetal's face. "We were friends before i left my clan."

“You’ve grown,” Rainshadow said, sitting down. “You must be a strong warrior.” “But Rainshadow,” Twilightshine said, looking surprised. “What’s a Riverclan cat doing here?” “I was just going to ask that,” the cat that yelled at me sneered. “I’m no longer Riverclan,” my friend said. I had no idea those Clans really existed, let alone that Rainshadow was one of them. “I chose to live my life as a loner.” Twilightshine’s head dipped down in sadness. “I hope you enjoy it. I will miss you at gatherings.” “Now get off our land!” another cat growled. I hissed at him, and I suddenly felt Twilightshine’s beautiful eyes glance at me. “I scented no boundary line,” Rainshadow hissed back at the cat. “Too bad,” the first cat said angrily, jumping up for attack. I didn’t see anymore, for I bolted the other way. I could smell Rainshadow’s rabbit not far behind me. She must’ve brought it with her to follow me. When we stopped, we were at a moor. “Who were they?” I panted. “That was a Thunderclan patrol,” Rainshadow said before collapsing onto the lush grass. “Who was that you were talking to?” I asked softly, savoring his face, his voice… “Twilightshine,” Rainshadow said, laughing. I must have had a lovesick face while daydreaming. “We were friends before I left my clan.” “Oh,” I said dreamily. “He seemed nice.” Rainshadow laughed again. “Well, he sure is a great warrior. Who knows? Maybe he’ll be the new deputy when he gets older.” The two of us then stopped talking and ate the giant rabbit in silence. I didn’t eat much of it, for I had that crow earlier. “So,” Rainshadow broke the silence. “How come you’ve been asking all of these questions about Twilightshine?” I blushed beneath my fur. “I don’t know. He just seemed nice.” “Well, your face showed you liked him more than you would a friend!”

"Oh," Rosepetal replied with a vague expression on her face. That caused me to laugh again. "He seemed nice," she continued." Still smiling, i bent to eat my rabbit. Rosepetal had a few bites too, but i think she was still full from her crow. "So," I said, deciding to break the silince. "How come you've been asking all of these questions about Twilight shine." I twitched my tail. Rosepetel's fur began to prickle. "I don't know," she said. "He just seemed nice." "Well, your face showed you liked him more than you would a friend1" I cuffed Rosepetal over the ear with my paw. "Shut-up," she mumbled. "Don't worry," I tolder, brushing my tail down her pelt. He's a good and kind warrior." Rosepetal looked horrified. She seemed to take it that i was in love with Twilightshine too. I let out a giggle. "Me?" I said, humor in my voice. "No... Well maybe..." Rosepetal's pelt stood on end. "I'm only joking," I said, standing and streching. "I don't think I'm ready for mate. Even if I was, it wouldn't be Twilight shine." "What's wrong with Twilightshine?" Rosepetal asked, coking her head. "Why don't you want a mate?" I paused before answering. "Well," I said hesitantly. "I guess I'm not redy... and... I don't know..." I felt realy flustered. "Why not Twilightshine?" "He feels like a brother to me," I explained. "You could never have your brother as a mate." "Hmmm," Rosepetal thought for a moment. "I guess that makes sence..." I nodded and began to walk away. I heard Rosepetal jump up in the grass. "Where are you going?" she called. "For a walk," I replied over my shoulder. "I'll be back later." I picked up my pace and loped down toward Windclan territory. I thought i'd take a walk along the border. As i reached it, i slowed my pace.
After a few minutes, I sented a patrol behind me. Not again, I thought. Quickly, I sped up. I was fast, but not fast enouf to outrun a Windclan cat. A yowl sounded behind me, and I heard swift feet in the grass. Crap! I thought as i bolted down the border. The pounding of feet got closer. "Trespasser!" hissed one of the cats, as he lept. My breath was nocked out of me as the cat crashed into my sides. Pinning me to the ground, the cat waited for the rest of the border patrol. "Loner," he informed them. I looked up at the cat who had attacked me and felt my heart skip a beat. It was a sleek white and black tom. He had long limbs and a tall figure. His eyes were beautiful and ungiving. Just like Ice. They bore into my eyes, and i thought they widened for a second. My sences came back to me, and I rolled, throwing the Windclan cat off. "Watch it!" I spat.

Rainshadow cuffed me over the ear with her paw. "Shut up," I mumbled, knowing she was right but not wanting to admit it. "Don't worry," she told me. “He's a good and kind warrior." I stared at her, horrified. I had no idea she was in love with Twilightshine, too! Suddenly, Rainshadow giggled. "Me?" she asked, amused. "No... Well maybe..." My pelt stood on end. "I'm only joking," Rainshadow said, getting up. “I don’t think I’m ready for a mate. Even if I was, it wouldn’t be Twilightshine.” "What's wrong with Twilightshine?" I asked, cocking my head in confusion. "Why don't you want a mate?" "Well," Rainshadow said, tail twitching nervously. “I guess I’m not ready… and… I don’t know…” "Why not Twilightshine?" "He feels like a brother to me," Rainshadow explained to me. "You could never have your brother as a mate." "Hmmm," I said, thinking. "I guess that makes sense..." Rainshadow nodded and started walking away. I jumped up in the grass, whiskers twitching in confusion. “Where are you going?” I called to her. "For a walk," she said bluntly. "I'll be back later." I waited as Rainshadow was out of range. Then, I bounded after her, trying to be as quiet as I could. Watching Rainshadow after a while became frightening. A group of cats that she called “patrol” began following her. Suddenly, scenting them, Rainshadow sped up. One of the cats ran after her, yowling. “Trespasser!” he hissed as he leapt at Rainshadow. She was pinned to the ground by the black and white tom. “Loner,” he informed the other patrol. For a while, it looked as if Rainshadow was frozen in time, but suddenly she came back to her normal self and threw the cat off of her. “Watch it!” I heard her growl. I didn’t hear much else for a while, for they were murmuring to each other. Finally, the black tom that pinned Rainshadow down told the rest of the cats to go. Rainshadow just stared at the unfamiliar cat. “So, what brings a loner to Windclan territory?” he asked her. She finally brought herself to speak. “I just needed to clear my head. Why?” Her voice sounded dreamy as she stared into his eyes. I tried not to giggle. The tom cleared his throat, shaking his head. Before, he was staring at Rainshadow the same way. “The name’s Iceburn. What’s yours?” “I’m Rainshadow,” she replied dreamily.

The Windclan patrol whispered to eachother. I wanted to make a run for it, but I knew that i would never escape. But at the same time. I didnt want to run. I wanted to stay and watch that cat forever. "Why don't you guys finish the patrol?" The sleek black tom segested. "I'll take care of the loner." The rest of the patrol nodded and bounded off across the more. He waited till they were gone to speek. "So, what brings a loner to Windclan territory?" He asked in a stony cold voice. "I just needed to clear my head," I pushed out. I could hardly speek."Why?" I tried to sound normal but I think my voice sounded lofty. I think i saw a hint of emotion in this tom's gaze for a second, but he shook his head and cleared his throat. "The name's Iceburn," he told me. "What's yourse?" "I'm Rainshadow," I replied. "Rainshadow," Iceburn mumbled. I felt my skin crawl as he said my name. But no! I couldn't fall in love... I wasn't ready! And he looked so emotionless. How could I fall for such a cold cat? Iceburn shook his head again before speaking. "She's a loner," he mumbled to himself. Then he turned his gaze to me. "You must leave our territory." I thought I saw a look of confution pass his face. It was as if he didn't want me to go. "I'll leave," I replied, looking deep into his eyes; still finding no emotion. But as the two of us stood, Iceburn rushed forward and gave me a quick lick on the top of my head. Then the tall figure of the black tom raced over the moor to catch up with his patrol. "Iceburn," I heard my self say. "Rainshadow!" called a voice. "RAINSHADOW! Over here!" Looking around, i spotted Rosepetal running fast as she could through the thick grass. Everything was in a haze though. Rosepetal looked as if she was swaying when she reached me. Her voice was steady though. "Rainshadow," she hissed. "We'd better get out of here. Come on!" Dizzily I followed her. She led me to a nest under a thick bush. "I thought you didn't want a mate." Rosepetal said casualy when we had settled down. I glared at her for a second befor curling up. It was still light out but I was tired. Rosepetal's moss bed rustled behind me as she curled up to get some sleep. When I heard the steady tone of breath that ment she was asleep, I realized how tired she must be. I would hav bet she could sleep for moons. I listned to the rythmic breathing untill it was dark. But I couldn't fall asleep myself. I couldn't stop thinking about Iceburn. Slowly, as not to wake the sleeping Rosepetal, i stood and climbed out of under the bush. After giving myself a quick lick, I set out back across the moor. I was again heading to Windclan territory. If I could see him one more time. My heart skipped a beat as I reached the top of a hill. He was there. Just stanading there at the top of the next hill. Iceburn's silky and long shape sat motionless in the moonlight. But as I began to walk down the oposite side of the his, Iceburn's head turned to me. My heart came to a full fledge stop. Out of the blue, I felt a rush of emotion pour from him. Iceburn was letting me in. He was letting me through his defences. Love overflowed my heart and I raced over toward him. He stood and ran at me too. Soon we had reached eachother and were rubing pelts. Iceburn shoved his head into my side and mumbled "Rainshadow." I drew in his sweet scent. Steping back, Iceburn turned his gaze to my eyes. "I love you," he said. Then he stepped foward to cover my face on licks. I purred and returned the licks by rubbing against his side. "I love you too," I mumbled. I felt close to tears. I didn't know why though. "I love you so much." I stayed with Iceburn the whole night. As the sun began to rise, we had to seperate. "Meet me here tomorrow night," Iceburn whispered into my ear. "But don't look for me tonight." Giving me a swift lick over the eart, Iceburn bounded back to camp.
When I got back to the bush where Rosepetal had slept, I noticed she had left a while ago. Oh no, I thought. What are Rosepetal and I getting ourselves into?

The tom called Iceburn shook his head after muttering something I couldn’t hear. “You must leave our territory,” he finally said. “I’ll leave,” Rainshadow said sweetly. Then, Iceburn quickly licked her on the top of hear head. He then raced over the moor to catch up with the rest of the patrol. I decided then to quit being as quiet as I was. “Rainshadow!” I called out. She didn’t hear me. “RAINSHADOW! Over here!” I yowled. She finally caught sight of me as I sprinted through the thick grass. I ignored my sudden nausea and hissed, “Rainshadow. We’d better get out of here. Come on!” I led her dizzily to the bush I was in earlier. When I finished gulping back waves of nausea, I said, “I thought you didn’t want a mate.” Rainshadow glared at me before curling up. I curled up as well; the sick feeling in my stomach was too much to handle. Not waiting for an answer, I closed my eyes that were thick with fatigue and fell asleep. Luckily, I’m not a very heavy sleeper. I heard the rustle of moss after a while and noticed it was Rainshadow. She climbed out from under the bush and trotted off towards where she met Iceburn. After a couple minutes, I decided not to eavesdrop and fall back asleep. NOT!! I dashed off towards Rainshadow, using my hunting movements, so she wouldn’t hear me. Just as I suspected, Iceburn awaited her on the moor, where they met. They raced towards each other and rubbed pelts. The rest of the night was filled with licks and rubbing pelts. I woke up just before the sun rose and bounded off to get something to eat; eavesdropping was a hungry job, but someone had to do it! Okay, I normally am not so rude as to eavesdropping on other cats, but Rainshadow was my best friend. I had to know if this Iceburn cat (if that’s really his name) meant any harm! I then vowed to stay out of Rainshadow’s life from now on, and caught a few mice to munch on. After I was full, I caught yet another mouse to give to my friend and trotted proudly to where I was supposed to be. When I got back, I was surprised to find that Rainshadow had been at the bush, but left just recently. I then decided to look for her. I found her back at the moor. She just lay there, probably thinking of her beloved Iceburn.

Soon enough, Rosepetal met me back at the bush. I couldn't quit thinking about where she had been. Had she been to meet Twilightshine? This was torturing me! We couldn't have mates in the clans. It would only cause them trouble. And possibly us. Still... Rosepetal laid down next to me and shoved a mouse at me. I just looked at her blankly. "Something wrong?" she inquired. "No..." I told her. Swiftly, I swollowed the mouse. I was starving. "Where were you?" I asked when I was done. "Where were you?" she shot back. "I asked first," I said in a slightly angry tone. Rosepetal sighed. "I was hunting," she said. But i could tell she was hiding something. What did she not want me to know? "I was taking a walk." Rosepetal shruged. Then she stood and stretched. "Where to now?" she asked. "Hmmm..." I wondered out loud. "Have you ever seen the twoleg place?" "What?" Rosepetal said confused. "I'll show you," I laughed. Standing, I took a good stretch. Then, I took off toward the twoleg barn. It was an interesting place and I thought Rosepetal might enjoy it. We only had to look out for any other cats. A few kittypets live there. As we reached the fence, the ground seemed to tremble. "What's that?" Rosepetal gasped. "Horses," I grinned. "See over there?" I pointed my tail to where a few horses were galloping over the ground. Rosepetal's fur stood on end, making me laugh again. "Horses are huge animals that twolegs ride on. I guess they must wonder what it's like to run on four legs. Plus they can go alot faster." "Are they dangerous?" Rosepetal asked, voice quivering. "Only if you get under their clumsy feet," I said swipping my paw over her ear. Then I stood and bounded across the feild to another gate. "And those," I told Rosepetal, pointing my tail at a bunch of fluffy white animals, "are called sheep. "They look like clouds, but they smell terrible." I screwed up my nose at the strange smell. "And you must be carful around them," I added as an after though. "Why?" Rosepetal said, tilting her head. "They look harmless. Your not telling me these stupid fur-balls are dangerous?" "No," I said shaking my head. "But the twolegs use dogs to look after them, so listen well for any..." My fur all stood up. A barking sounded in the distance. "Crap," I hissed, jumping up. "Come on," I urged Rosepetal, butting her in the side so she would stand up. "Run," I said, dashing for the moor. I heard Rosepetal behind me. We ran as fast as we could, all the way to the forest.

I lay down next to Rainshadow and pushed the mouse at her. She stared at me blankly. I decided to break the silence. “Something wrong?” I asked. “No…” she said, showing no emotion. She swiftly swallowed the mouse, and I wondered how she could shove something that big in her mouth and swallow it without chewing. “Where were you?” she asked when it was down her giant throat. “Where were you?” I shot back at her. “I asked first,” she said angrily. I sighed, trying to think of something I could say. “I was hunting.” That wasn’t a complete lie, but I didn’t want to tell her the whole truth, either. “I was taking a walk,” she told me. She obviously wasn’t going to tell me the whole truth, either. But at least I knew where she was. I stood up and stretched. “Where to now?” I asked. “Hmmm… Have you ever seen the twoleg place?” I was totally confused. “What?” was all I asked. “I’ll show you,” she meowed, laughing. Rainshadow stood and stretched. She then took off, me at her heels. We reached a fence where the ground started to tremble. “What’s that?” I gasped. “Horses,” she said grinning. “See over there?” Giant mammals galloped where her tail was pointing. My fur stood on end in fear, and she laughed. “Horses are huge animals that twolegs ride on. I guess they must wonder what it’s like to run on four legs. Plus they can go a lot faster. “Are they dangerous?” Rainshadow swiped her paw over my ear playfully. “Only if you get under their clumsy feet.” She bounded across the field towards another gate. She pointed her tail at a bunch of strange fluffy animals that reminded me of clouds. “And those are called sheep. They look like clouds, but they smell terrible. And you must be careful around them,” she finished, screwing up her nose at the smell. “Why?” I asked, tilting my head to the side. “They look harmless. You’re not telling me these stupid fur-balls are dangerous?” “No.” She shook her head. “But the twolegs use dogs to look after them, so listen well for any…” She didn’t finish. Her fur stood up, and so did mine after hearing barking in the distance. “Crap,” she hissed. “Come on,” she said, biting me in the side so I would stand up. “Run,” she said to me and ran to the moor. We ran side-by-side, as fast as we could, all the way back to the forest I now never wanted to leave. “Wasn’t that fun?” Rainshadow asked after catching her breath. I glared at her. “How could being scared out of our wits possibly be fun to you?” I practically screamed at her. “There’s no way I’m going back.” She grabbed my tail as I tried to run off and dragged me back, ignoring my yowling and hissing. “Shhh,” she whispered and shoved me down to the ground with her. I could hear the sound of barking once more, this time threateningly closer to us.

"Wasn't that fun?" I asked Rosepetal good heartedly after catching my breath. I always loved running. "How could being scared out of our wits possibly be fun to you?" Rosepetal was almost screaming. "There's no way I'm going back." Rosepetal tried to run off, but i dragged her back by her tail, paying no attention to her yowling and spitting. "Shhh," I hissed. I pricked my ears and shoved Rosepetal to the ground. Crouching down next to her, I heard something terrifying. The dog was howling again. But this time, it was almost upon us. "Come on!" I cried, dashing into the forest. I could hear Rosepetal pounding after me, barely keeping up. "Help!" I cried, hoping there was a Clan patrol near by. "Dog!" I had labored breathing now. Rosepetal tripped over a branch and tumbled into the trunk of a tree. I spun around and raced back to her. My heart skipped a beat as the howling grew louder. A huge black and white, long-haired dog burst through the bushes and charged toward us. "Get away," I spat slashing my long claws toward the dog. It growled and launched toward us. "Attack!" a voice split the air. Hailstorm and a bunch of Thunderclan warriors burst through the brambles and jumped on the dog. I charged forward and landed on the dogs back. It rolled and landed on me and lashed out with a paw. The paw landed on my head and I was flung across the clearing. Everything grew shaky. I felt blood roll down my head and gush out of a few cuts on my sides. The world turned black.
The moon had risen by the time I woke up. Rosepetal was above me. But who was that next to her? A young orange cat? "Who are you?" I groaned. "Quiet," She told me softly. "You've been badly hurt." I tried to sit up. "Stay down," a third voice told me. "I'm Hiddenheard," the voice said. "The Thunderclan medicine cat. This is my apprentice," Hiddneheart pointed her tail at the you orange cat, "Coral paw.You need to relax." "No," i groaned, "I need to leave right now." Was Iceburn waiting for me? I needed to see him. "Please Rainshadow," Rosepetal whispered. "No," I said more strongly. I heaved myself up. "Thank you," I told the Thunderclan medicine cat. "But I have something I need to do." Hiddenheart watched me for a second an then nodded. She walked over and led me out of the medicine cat den. I limped after her. Twilightshine ran over to us as soon as I got outside. "Why are you out here?" he asked with concern. "I'm leaving," I told him, fidgeting under the gaze of the clan cats in the clearing. Twilightshine nodded and stood next to me to help if needed. Hiddenheart thanked him and went back to the medicine cat den and Rosepetal took her place. We began to walk away but a proud she-cat stepped in front of me. I looked into her unwavering gaze. "Dreamstar," I greeted the leader of Thunderclan. "Thank you." She tilted her head. "For letting me stay here I mean. But I need to leave now." Dreamstar nodded and stepped out of the way. Twilightshine, Rosepetal and I left the camp.
