Cold. That was the first thought she could comprehend. A grunt came from a small dark form as a chilling breeze shrieked into the mouth of the dim nest of brambles, thorns, and vines. Oak-toned eyes suddenly snapped open as the draft ruffled the feathery tresses of a diminutive form. A small annoyed growl from the tiny kit as it lifted itself. She would get no sleep as of now with this nightly breeze. Sighing softly, the earthen femme padded out of the entrance.
Her porcelain painted paws grazed the smooth soil of the Riverclan clearing. Nettlekit blinked and glanced about, roaming her chocolate discs down along the screen of vines that hid each nest. They passed over the warriors' den, the elders' resting place, along the Highstone, and finally up at the leader's cave. She blinked, staring along at it. Recently there had been a Clan meeting in which Cloudystar had announced the arrival of a rogue named Axel, later dubbed Axelflame. Nettlekit blinked softly, pondering over this.
It was strange really. The Clan had never accepted any other Clan cats into the Clan, let alone a rogue or loner. She was surprised to say the least. Her mind bounced and tumbled thoughts as she gazed up at the Highstone, illuminated by the white moon orb which sent an array of shimmering light. How would the Clan fair with this? Nettlekit herself was unpleased with this. That tom was confusing and dangerous. He'd been about to attack her even during that meeting but he'd stopped before he'd done anything harmful.
"This will do no good to the Clan," her rich voice lulled out, sinking into the silent air of the night. Her mind itched with the hunger for knowledge, for the answers of why her leader had done this. Her alabaster paws trembled with the thought of padding up to her leader's den, but her modest nature chained her where she sat. Sighing, the kit sat back down. A kit shouldn't think so knowledgeably, it occurred to her. But she did and it scared her. This churning heat coiling in her belly, the desire for answers. She grumbled softly, meekly, "Starclan knows no kit in Riverclan but me is like this."
She sobered, ears drooping as the night wind fluffed up her long earth coat. She only wanted to find...

//:ooc.. how i'm i supposed to reply to that! xD it's so pro! Anyways I changed how sexy Minnowkit looks. She's silvery now! lol
//:bic...
(Sexy) Minnowkit walked quietly over to Nettlekit. Her silver pelt glowed brightly in the moon light. She gently touched her tail to Nettlekit's shoulder. "What will do no good to our Clan?" Minnowkit cocked her head in curiosity. She licked Nettlekit's ears. They were drooping like a mouse sat on ech one. What's wrong Nettlekit? Why are you acting like this. I want to help you. Minnowkit whispered gently.
Starpelt shone brighter than ever. Minnow could tell there were brighter ones than others She wondered what that meant. The young kit at that time could care less. She wanted to help Nettlekit right now. StarClan could wait. Minnowkit cared deeply about Nettlekit. She was there for her. So Minnowkit would be there for her. "Why aren't you in the Nusery? It's the middle of the night," Minnowkit yawned, aren't you tired?

ooc: Silver Minnow? XD Like teh fishies? Cool hahaha! And your post was good I enjoyed it. =3
bic: So soft, this warm pure affection. Nettlekit made a small 'eep' in surprise when her foster sister creeped out of the nursery and into the cold of the silent night. The small long-furred kit straightened her slouch when Minnowkit cooed to her in reassuring tones. The diminutive feline turned to gaze at her sister and allowed a rusty meek purr to float past her lips as embarrassment from the open affection rolled over it. It vaguely occurred to her that she didn't have to feel embarrassed. That here in the night, watched only by the shadows and the moon, she could free herself. She could allow herself to voice her anxious thoughts into the cold air, allow herself some free judgment. The only witnesses were her sister, the night, and Starclan themselves.
Thinking of Starclan, the fragile femme turned away from Minnowkit and stared at the moonlit bathed patch of night sky that shadowed them like a glorious cobalt wing, flecked with bursting particles of stars. All over the dark expanse were the spirits of her ancestors. Or so that was what she thought. Doubts plagued the corners of her mind and that same hunger pulled tight in her belly. She blinked, breaking the hazy spell. Her maw turned back to Minnowkit, eyes raking subtly over his achromatic-coated sister. With a low voice, tone uttering with uncertainty, she spoke, "I'm worried Minnowkit. Cloudystar has been acting so strange and the Clan is riddled of anxiety. This place no longer is filled with anxiety. Every cat smells of fear. Why do you think Cloudystar brought a rogue into the Clan? It makes no sense."
She blinked sorrowfully, chocolate discs pleading an answer yet knowing she might not receive one. It was cruel of her to ask this question and expect an answer from her sister. Minnowkit was like most of the other kits, only wanting a simple life of play and fun and affection. But she burned so with the need to understand this. She burned with the need...

//:ooc.. of course!! lol
Minnowkit's pelt shone it's brightest yet. She replied to her foster sister's questions with her own theories. "Well I can tell she hiding something. Something that every Clan and cat would despise her for. Why she let that untrustworthy rogue join. It makes no scence! Were doing fine with warrior and apprentices." Minnowkit looked up, as if she were thinking very hard.
Minnowkit jumped to her paws. "I'm am going to ask her! Right now. she turned on her paws and headed for Cloudystar's den. the shadow of the leader's den dulled the glow on the small kit's pelt. [][]

"Wait don't Minnowkit!" Nettlekit leaped up in surprise, worry flashing over her dark face as her white paws sprang and splayed her limbs. Shock raked down her spine at her sister's boldness and her face cleared of the pleading agony it held. It ticked at her that her sister was going to go find out the answers in which she hungered for herself, and the desire to know ached in her belly and swirled, sending an itch along the skin underneath her pelt. Gritting her teeth, the tiny kit tried to fight against the quelling hunger but already her paws were gliding across the clearing as she followed her sister. Still, she continued to persist in voice, "W-We can't Minnowkit. What would Cloudystar say if she found out we're not sleeping when we're supposed to b-be?"

She bit her lip, padding guiltily after her sister as the crossed the clearing. Suddenly the twinkling of the stars in Silverpelt no longer felt like a gentle guide keeping watch. Rather. it stung to see the stars shining so vividly. Like thousands of accusing, suspicious eyes. She winced, exposed to the night and to the judgment placed upon her by her warrior ancestors. Head cresting in a low bow on the ruffles of her thickly furred earthen chest, the minuscule kitten spoke the truth of her emotions, "Well...maybe asking wouldn't be such a bad idea. I-It wouldn't hurt..."
And she ignored the guilt of her hunger, shouldering it away as she glided loyally behind her sister, following the silver palid form. Like a phantom her sister's coat was. Like a beautiful luring ghost. Security was in her sister's eyes though, warm safety. And true to her passive nature, Nettlekit followed Minnowkit to the Highstone. Ignoring the burn of her hunger.

Bowing her headslightly she continued on her 'journey' to Cloudystar's den. Her pale blue eyes seemed colbalt in the darkness. They watched her sister closely. Minnowkit padded across the clearing quickly. She wanted to know what was happening. Could Cloudystar be meeting a rogue Clan and allowing them to join RiverClan? That would be horribal! She stopped abrouptly at the entrance of Cloudystar's den. "Ready?" Minnowkit asked wrapping her tail around her sister's. "Cloudystar!!" called Minnowkit, almost fiercly. She braced herself, afraid of what would come next.

Fear of the unknown. That was the eternal flaw of their kind. Fear of the unknown caused discrimination, caused stereotypes, segregation, and eventually hatred. All because of fear. And that fear was curling uncomfortably in the pit of her belly, claws unsheathing from her white painted paws and scratching against the surface of the soft soil, creating scours along the dirt path. A thick swallow lumped down her throat as she found it to be clogged painfully, chocolate discs staring ahead at the leader's den. In the dim light of the night, the small cave looked like an ominous mouth ready to swallow anything that dared trek to it whole.

Gulping forcefully, the dark kit stood in front of the cave. Her chocolate orbs roamed over the walls, taking not that barely any light lit the darkness. Fear clung like dew at the tips of her fur, shaking her to her core. But the hunger was irresistible now, gnawing angrily at her belly, causing a swaying of conflicting emotions to lock, tangle, and piece themselves together in her mind. So she stepped forward, besides her sister. She awed at Minnowkit, wondering how the silver kitten could harbor such seemingly easy courage to call out to their leader at such a time of the night. Nettlekit stared into the darkness, waiting for Cloudystar to answer.
