[unexplainable] Eyes narrowed, silver pelt bristling, the feline slunk in the shadows of a familiar place. This place no longer broght comfort, only fear. She crouched down on the cold stony floor, preparing for the worst. Would her clan abandon her? Drive her out? Would Starclan strike her down? One secret was bad enough to tear the forest apart, but two?
The clan would have to find out, there was no way around that. But they didn't have to find out the other secret. For that, Dreamstar would be exiled. How would Hailstorm react? The question rang out in her head. Why did life have to be so cruel? She wished she could just... escape. Run away from all the problems. All the responsibilities. But for now, she would grow weaker, silently. When she couldn't go on as leader any longer, Hailstorm would take over temporarily. But Dreamstar knew that the clan would never forget this. [dillema]

[unexpected] Light footed and lithe, the black cat padded softly across the grass clearing, paws landing softly on the ground. Green eyes glowing, he bunched his muscles and leapt onto the highledge, poking his head into the opening to Dreamstar's den. "Dreamstar?" He called softly into the den. He sat down patiently, waiting for a response from his leader.
But deep inside, he wished she wasn't there. Something was wrong, and Hailstorm knew it. She was about to tell him something bad.
There was no avoiding it now... [surprises]

[crashed] Jolting her head up in surprise, Dreamstar recognised Hailstorm's voice. cool. calm. relaxed. She thought, though her heart began beating twice its normal speed. What would she tell him? "Hailstorm. Come in. I have some...uh...news." She mewed, softer than usual. Bracing herself to tell a half truth. [reality]

[face the] Hailstorm stepped into the den, sensing the tension in the air almost immediatly. "Dreamstar." He announced formally, dipping his head in the respect that a deputy usually gave his leader. But he couldn't pretend any longer. This was the cat that he loved, and he knew she loved him too. Or so he thought... "Whats wrong?" Hailstorm asked, stepping foreward to touch his nose to hers. [truth]

[breaking] Dreamstar pulled back, and sat down restlessly. "Hailstorm..." She hesitated, wondering how to break the news to him, without having him find out the other half. "I'm having kits!" She blurted out. Trembling, she sat down, hoping that Hailstorm was too surpried, and assumed that they were his kits... When they actually were not. [lies...] [/colour]

[unseen] Hailstorm staggered back in surprise. Head swimming, and crowded with thoughts. "Oh, Dreamy! Our kits!" He gasped. For a moment, he forgot that he was speaking to a clan leader. His clan leader. Finally coming back and becoming focused, Hailstorm heaved a long sigh. "What will happen when you become too weak...or the clan notices?" [and undone]

[will it ever] Dreamstar bowed her head, reluctant to think about the future. There was no way that this could work out. The only semi-comforting thought, was that she wasn't the only guilty Clan Leader. The name echoed inside her head... Echo...;Echostar [be the same?]

ooc;lets wrap this up, hail. step one in dreamy's mini-plot is complete. bic; Dreamstar looked up at her friend...her deputy...hurt shining through her eyes. "Hailstorm..." she mewed, bracing herself. Should she tell the truth? Should she admit that these were not his kits? Should she ell him who had really fathered these kits? Dreamstar stared down at her swollen stomach, growing heavier with unborn kits. In that instant, for the safety of her childern, she continued, "oh, what will I do?" Her eyes turned cold. Cold like chips of ice. "You may go." she mewed, icily. She didn't want to see him anymore. Or any other clan cats'. She wanted to sit here, forever. Alone, in her den. Dreamstar knew she couldn't do that. Later on tonight, she would go and see Echostar. Then, they could talk freely. "Oh, Starclan, what am I to do?" Dreamstar moaned, resting her head on her paws as she layed back down. [/colour]

Okay. Wrap up time.
Hailstorm took a step back, Dreamstar's harsh words alarming him. He padded over to her, and gave her a loving lick on the cheek. "Take care, Dreamstar. Call me if you need anything." Hailstorm turned around, and left the den. He hoped, with all his heart, that the cat he loved more than life itself, would be okay. But deep inside, Hailstorm knew that nothing would ever be okay. There was something that Dreamstar wasn't telling him...
