The time of the Riders has returned in abundance. Eragon left the world of Algaesia to travel to the land of the elves. Murtagh lived to be the Ruler of Algaesia. He had two sons with a foriegn women who later became a Rider. She was killed giving birth to a third child who died also. So Murtagh was left with his two sons. One was peaceful and caring, the other was ambitious and fierce. He wanted them to rule together, but weep for it could not be. The greedy son, Raloni, attacked his brother. They fought long and hard over leadership, and he won. The younger brother ran, his wounds were most grevious and he disappeared. Raloni hatched a dragon egg and became the Ruler. He has reigned for nearly ten years and the elves were forced to hide. Only five dragons and their Riders will be able to defeat him. Who are these Riders? Where has the other brother disappeared? Where are the elves? Will they be skillful enough to defeat him or will Raloni cast all of Algaesia into darkness?
