Author's Notes: I was struck with this idea after reading my sister's story Self-Conclusion. Plus, I was also inspired after watching a clip of the anime.
Disclaimer: I do not own the characters mentioned in this one-shot. Nor do I own the anime. Both belong to the company of Sunrise. The only thing I own is the plot of this story and that isn't much.
Warning: This one-shot has implied slash and dark themes. It also has details of gore. If you are uncomfortable with either things, then I suggest not to continue reading this thread.

For You And Only You
----------------------------------------
I'm crazy.
Yes those were the words I had been looking for. Short and simple, they summed up my mental state quite well. A small, mechanical smile worked its way on my lips as I stared down at the ruined floor. The blood pooled around my sandals as I gripped my blood-red naginata with a loose hold.
Bodies were littered here and there on the ground, their life's essence staining the building's cold tiles with livid red. Glass shards were scattered about my feet from the broken windows that had suffered from the many soldiers' bullets. Flames licked the building's walls as I stood in the damaged room.
A normal person would have turned tail and run if they had been within the confinements of a burning environment. Then again, I had gone far beyond the levels of normal.
Wait, what's that?
I turned around slowly when my sensitive ears heard the crunch of feet. I never was one for swiftness and I probably never will be. I take my own sweet time in doing what I do. Killing others was no exception.
Ara? Oh my.
My maple ruby eyes widen a millimeter as I find myself face to face with the business end of a long gun. The soldier holding it was quite young, probably in his mid-twenties. however, he shook with fear and his brown eyes were unfocused as he tried to muster the courage to fire at me.
No matter.
I tilt my head to the side, tawny chestnut locks dropping over my livid eyes. The mechanical smile became a soft quirk of lips as I gazed at the young man with a gentle gaze. His brown eyes widened as he took in the sight of me. In his eyes I must not had looked real; a woman encased in a silk purple kimono, ruby eyes twinkling softly, pale skin fanned by hot flames from outside, and a luscious body covered in bright blood.
However, the blade of my naginata was quite real. With a flick of my wrist, the blade whipped out of its keep and sliced the soldier clean in half. His essence gushed out of his rippled form, spilling over the floor and a few more drops soon joined my tattered kimono.
I smile once more in a lazy manner as I count off the number in my head. That would have it made it 1,056, would it not?
How amusing how the First District tries to defend itself, when really they have sealed their own fate. After all, they hurt my Natsuki.
My cold body shivered in warmth as my fleeting thoughts cluttered together and formed an image of my beloved. Her piercing emerald green eyes that hid a child in their depths. Her cobalt blue hair that was soft to the touch and draped over her smooth back like a mane of a mighty beast. My smile melted into a genuine one as I closed my ruby orbs to take in the mental image of my sweet one.
Natsuki. My most precious person. I'm doing this for you. I'm destroying First District for you. I will eradicate anyone who you have deemed as your enemy. All for you, my summer princess.
Summer princess.
It's amusing really my sweet. You act as cold as ice, but your name betrays you demeanor.
A sudden roar of a hiss breaks my unbalanced thoughts. I turn my head to look through a broken window. A monstrous beast raves outside, its metallic body glowing violet and amethyst in flaming lights. Six long necks twisted in the air as an octopus head attached the necks together. The heads hissed loudly once more, bringing my attention to their glistening fangs and their psychotic amber orbs.
Ah, Kiyohime found another nest. My precious Child has done me well.
I hummed as I swayed in the hot fire toward the exit. Kiyohime bent her head and gave a grating purr when she saw me. I let one of my pale hands unclasp around my naginata so I could stroke my hydra's head. The snake head let out a hiss and seemed to rub its metallic head into my hand. I chuckled and whistled softly. Complying, Kiyohime bent her head and allowed me to step onto her. The hydra lifted herself and slithered to the nest of more victims she had found.
I felt the adrenaline begin to pump through my desolate veins as I approached another building. Screams became deaf to my ears as my Child and I approached. Soldiers, scientists, and even elderly people ran amok as I descended upon them.
My naginata sliced through the air as I twirled and danced the dance of death. bodies dropped one by one, blood pooling form them. Limbs flew through the air as I cut through flesh and bone. Kiyohime let out a low sound as she sprayed icy acid onto countless soldiers, their screams falling on deaf ears as I watched them melt. A chuckle of amusement began to flutter through my throat.
I'm crazy.
I think again as I begin to slowly walk after a group of elderly people, my Element in my grasp. I grinned as I lifted my blade. Blood splattered on my face as the aging men and women groaned in pain. my naginata dripped with blood as it sliced through the victims' bodies.
Not many people are aware that they're psychology unbalanced, but I am. It doesn't matter. After all it's for you Natsuki. I'll kill for you. These people have hurt you. They took your mother away and I will fulfill your need for revenge.
After all, I love you.
Kiyohime roared from somewhere nearby. She must have been attacking the building as I slithered around, searching for new prey to eliminate.
----------------------------------
Shizuru! Shizuru stop it!
---------------------------------
My head whipped to the side as a frantic voice blasted against my ears. For a moment, confusion wrapped my cluttered thoughts together as my brow furrowed.
Natsuki?
My body swayed a little as I draped my weapon of power over my shoulder. My tawny chestnut hair splayed over my maple eyes as I looked up at the darkening sky. It couldn't your voice. You weren't here. No matter how much I wanted you to be.
-----------------------------------
Stop it Shizuru! Please! Stop!
-----------------------------------
A fond smile crossed my features as I titled my head to the side, closing my eyes to better hear the sweet voice in my head.
Ookini Natsuki.
But I have to continue. I can't let these people hurt you anymore.
------------------------------------
Shizuru! Come back to me! I'm begging you!
-----------------------------------
Kanin na Nastuki, but until I have destroyed all of First District, I cannot go back to you.
But.....
Wait for me. Wait for me Natsuki. I will return to you soon.
My russet orbs flickered as Kiyohime reappeared, amber eyes blazing and heads thrashing in monstrosity. Her metallic, violet body glistened as she slithered back to me like the obedient Child she was.
Ara, another nest how delightful.
I turned my weary body to face the moon and the red star in the sky. My eyes closed as I was hit with a vision of my most precious person. Sapphire hair, ivory skin, and emerald eyes. I blew a kiss to the wind and turned back to Kiyohime so we could get back to work.
For you and only for you, Natsuki. I will kill for you and only for you.
Even if all this hateful bloodshed makes you hate me.
Even if you hate me, I will make you mine.
