THIS IS THE FIRST HALF;; Seek Me Sandflower
Curse Me She-cat
Spare Me 60 moons
Scent Me Riverclan
Respect Me Warrioress
Paint Me Sandflower is a she-cat of no known breed, but it is easy to tell how much she decended from her farthest ancestors; Lionclan, Cheetahclan, Tigerclan, and Leopardclan. Her pelt is short, keeping her from getting a heat stroke on the hot days in Kenya, unlike a long-furred cat, who would never survive the heat during high-noon, when it is the hottest. The fur on her back is a dusty gray-brown color, while her sides chest, legs, and maw are all a light tan color with a tint of yellow, resembling dry, dead grass or sand. Her haunches are like her back, except they have dark gray striped on them, making them look like the haunches of a black-and-white based tiger. Her head is like her haunches, it is the same gray as her back, but it has darker gray stripes. Sandflower's long, slender tail is a little lighter than her back, and it has black rings up it, with each one being about 2-2 1/2 inches apart.
Many cats have "distinctive markings", but none could ever be more distinctive than Sandflower's. Ever since she was born, Sandflower has had a weird flower-shape on her sand-colored chest, hence giving her the name 'Sandflower'. The flower-shape is white, and not perfect, of course, but you can easily make out the stem and the petals and even a leaf on the right side of the thin stem. Around the flower their are random white splotches along with one black one diagonal down on the right side from her "leaf". Call it impossible all you will, but this is the most unique part about her, as unusual as her peltage may be.
Perhaps it is Sandflower's eyes that are the cause of most cats taking a liking to her. They are a beautiful sea-green that seem like they have a never-ending depth to them. Some have said that if you stare into them for too long, you will begin to see them dance like the waves of the untamed sea. But perhaps that is only the legend of cats that are either insane or have nothing better to do with their lives. But maybe... Just maybe... They are telling the truth. It is hard to say, but maybe someday you will look into her untamed eyes and find out for yourself...
As for her muscular build, well... Let's just say for a she-cat, she is pretty muscular, all in all. But she isn't so buff she just looks flat out ugly. No. She is the perfect size, and her muscular build fits her body so well that it makes her the beautiful cat she has grown up to be today. Because her fur is so short and sleek, whenever she runs, you can see her muscles, especially her shoulders and haunches, ripple as her sandy fur glitters and glows beneath the sunlight. She is strong as hell, but doesn't like fighting unless she has to. She much prefers to fight with her sharp words other than her strong build.
Read Me Each cat is interesting in their own way, and Sandflower is no exception to this. For starters, she is one of the most daring and risk-taking cats anyone could ever meet. Little scares her, and if she does come across one of those few "scary" things, she will act as if she has no fears and faces it. Ever since she was a kit, she was always lurking around dangerous places and exploring the deepest, darkest crevices and cave. Her mother would always scold her and lecture her for what seemed like moons, but Sandflower would just tune her out and watch her surroundings eagerly, not being able to wait for her mother to stop talking and leave, so that she may run off and disobey again without a care in the world. But even so, she is a good listener when she chooses to be. For instance, if there were to be a clan meeting, she would be all ears, soaking in every word like a dry sponge to fresh, cold water.
Yes, most kits are curious and disobedient. I'll admit, there isn't too much that is special about her there, but I am only beginning. Besides being a little rebel, Sandflower was always quiet. She couldn't help but always plot her escape away from Riverclan inside he rebellious mind. Yes, she loved her clan, but even as a young kit, she couldn't help to think about what else was out there that she wasn't able to see. She needed more than this. She needed more excitement and danger in her life. Yes, the clan life was hard at times and could get exciting, but it was never enough for Sandflower. She needed to go somewhere where each day was a fight for survival, and you never knew if you were going to wake up to see the sun again. That's just her personality. She was grateful, of course, but it just didn't feel right...
Sandflower has always had a thing for kits, especially the little rebels who remind her of her when she was little. And she just loves telling all of them her sad story, in hopes of changing their minds from leaving in search of a more exciting life, be it isn't always worth it in the end. As much as Sandflower loves kits and wants some of her own, she doesn't know if she'll ever even have a mate. Ever since her first love, she has been too afraid to love again. She is afraid something will happen and she will have to leave him or he will have to leave her and they will both end up all alone, like what already happened. And believe me, Sandflower has had more than her fair share of courters, but none of them have unlocked the safe to her glass heart. But who knows? Maybe, just maybe, someday a tom open the safe and reach her fragile heart once again....[/blockquote]

THIS IS THE SECOND HALF;; Remember Me As you can easily conclude, Sandflower was born into Riverclan. Her mother was a strict, but VERY caring, red-tinted she-cat named Cherryoak, while her father was a VERY serious VERY strict black tom named Nightstrike with an all-business-no-play attitude. Actually, Sandflower didn't think she had ever seen him give just a little smile, not even once. Her own father, actually, was one of the few things in her life that she was afraid of. Anyway, Sandflower had four siblings; Three brothers and one sister. Her brothers were Silentkit, a black tom like his father; Shiverkit, a red-tinted ginger like his mother; and Taintedkit, a sand colored kit who looked EXACTLY like his sister, and he even had the white flower on his chest and the same sea-green eyes. They were PERFECTLY identical twins. Him and Sandflower were even the exact same size. If it weren't for their gender, it would be near impossible to tell the two apart. Then their was Noosekit, Sandflowers only sister, who was pure white with a tan circle around her neck, looking like a noose.
It wasn't long, it seemed, before the kits were granted vision and hearing. These were the best, and worst, moons of Sandkit's life. They were the best, because she was able to see and hear everything and explore things with an open mind. They were the worst, because she had to sit through so many lectures from her mother that she thought she would just fall over and die of pure and utter boredom. Once or twice she even got a lectures from her father, which almost made her cry because he just looked so... mean and he was the type of tom that little kits had nightmares about. She would shutter at his very words, because they were just so harsh. And when he was done with the scolding, she would crawl off and barely dare to breathe, much less move, lest have another lecture from her father. Her identical brother, Taintedkit, would always be there to comfort her, though, which always made her feel better. No matter what, she knew that the two would always be best friends and always be there for each other, no matter what. He knew it too.
Only a moon later, the kits were allowed outside of the nursery so long as either Cherryoak or Nightstrike was with them. Of course, both parents were a little concerned with Sandkit being outside without two sharp eyes being able to stay on her at all times, but they also knew she would have to go outside sometime, and it wasn't like they could just tell her to stay in the nursery while they leave and just expect her to obey. What choice did they have? They've tried a sitter, but Sandkit makes trouble for them all. It was pointless. They had to take her and risk the world coming to an end as they know it. Who knew what Sandkit could whip up outside of the nursery. If they turned their eyes for a second, they would probably hear a big boom and turn around to see Riverclan as nothing but ashes, then turn back around to see Sandkit with an amazed look on her face and a little, proud smile. Oh, man, were they terrified.
Of course, Cherryoak gave Sandkit a lecture all the way to the river about behaving, and, of course, Sandkit just let the words go through one ear and out the other. Oh, man, she just couldn't wait for this! She had never been outside the den before, and this was just awesome! Taintedkit was beside her, looking just as overjoyed and excited as she did. "Isn't this awesome, Taint?" whispered Sandkit, trying not to let her mother know she was talking to her brother instead of listening. "Yeah! Oh, hey, Sand, did you see that? It was a mouse! A fat one too. I betcha I could've caught it if we weren't on the move," Taintedkit whispered back with confidence. Sandkit had to hold in a laugh, and if her mother wasn't still blabbing on about behaving, she would've let it out. "Yeah. Riiiiiight," she said, rolling her eyes for her brother to see. Taintedkit just frowned and said, "I betcha you would've missed it by a gazillion miles!!!" he spat at her, almost forgetting to whisper. Sandkit was about to make her retort when her father, who was leading them all, stopped and said in his usual no-emotion type way, "We're here."
Sandkit was the first one to the river. 'Hmmm... How to swim, how to swim... Maybe it just comes natural, with me bein' a Riverclanner and all,' she thought as she stared thoughtfully at her rippling reflection. Before her mother could pull her away, Sandkit had jumped in, making a big splash. Instinctively, she began to paddle up to the surface and take a big breath. She was swimming! "This is fun!" she said with a laugh, ignoring the fact that her mother's face was redder than usual and looked like it was ready to blow up any minute now. But she couldn't escape the small smile on her father's face and the look of pride glowing in his bright blue eyes. This just made Sandkit's day. All her life she thought that her father hated her, and come to find out all she had to do was make her mum's head wanna pop off like a shook-up soda bottle and he was smiling at her all proud-like. Heh, knowing this, she could quite easily make him the proudest father ever!
After a few moments, the rest of her siblings joined her in the river and they all swam together; Splashing and playing carelessly. Sandkit would show-off every time she saw her father looking her way, and she couldn't help but notice that his smile never faded from his maw, though her mum still looked like her own head was gonna explode right off her own head. But her swimming and her father's growing pride got boring after a while, so she climbed out of the river, unseen by all but Taintedkit, but he decided to ignore her, but she didn't mind. She wanted to do some exploring anyway, and she hated doing that without being alone, even if it was her closest friend and brother, Taintedkit, who was with her. She like to explore on her own. End of story. She glanced at both her parents, and noticed them to be in the midst of a conversation, probably about her. Good. And without a sound, Sandkit shook her pelt dry, then prowled into the forest for some exploring.
Sandkit was amazed at the wonders of the outside world. There were so many creatures and so many plants... It was just so awesome! She knew she would get in a lot of trouble when she went back, but she didn't care. This was too good to pass up. Besides, getting in major trouble wasn't anything knew to her. What were her parents going to do? Lay down the rules and tell her she had to obey them or else? Yeah, that has always worked so well in the past. Why should she obey some stupid rules like theirs when she would have to pass up a chance like this in order to do that? In her mind, it was just stupidity. There was, truly, no point. What was the 'or else' anyway? Or else what? They were going to give her more lectures and tell her that she would have to stay in the nursery while they all went out for another family outing? Yeah, that would work out so nicely because she would just all of a sudden turn into a perfect little angel. Yeah. Right.
Sandkit came to a sudden halt. She hadn't been paying attention, not even to the smells, and she couldn't even smell Riverclan anymore. She couldn't smell any other cats at all, actually. For a moment, Sandkit was scared. She wanted her mum and her dad and her siblings, especially Taintedkit. She didn't want to be in the forest anymore. She wanted to be home in the nursery all safe and warm curled up at her mother's soft, warm white underbelly. But all of a sudden, the faint and far-away scent of another cat barely reached her nostrils. Without even thinking, Sandkit ran with all her strength towards the stench. Tears flew back behind her as she ran. What if it was a rogue and they killed her? What if it was a loner who handed her over to an evil rogue for fresh kill? She couldn't help but think of all the negatives over all the positives. She was only, after all, just a lost kit on the run for help, which she could only hope she'd get. Without thinking, Sandkit ran right into an adult, ginger she-cat with only one ear.
The large female ginger looked down on the kit and said with irritation, "Quickly, you must move! I have to make it to those wretched humans before they leave me on this wretched continent and I never make it back to my clan..." The female, who had a strange accent, trailed off at the sight of how young and scared the kit in front of her was. "Say, little one, do you have a home to run off to?" Her voice was gentle and almost apologetic. Not knowing what to say, Sandkit just shook her head 'no'. "Good. Then come with me, quickly. I shall adopt you and you shall fit right in with my clan. I'm Tangawizinyota, by the way. It's Gingerstar in you're tongue, though. Now, let's GO! We cannot be late!" Sand kit was too shocked to understand any of it right now, but she ran with the ginger she-cat anyway, because she spoke of a clan - a safe place to call home. It all felt weird, but she kept reminding herself that she always wanted to live somewhere else, at least for a little while, so why not now? Besides, this ginger she -Tangawizinyota or Gingerstar- seemed nice enough.
It wasn't long before Sandkit could see a two-leg nest in the distance, but as weird as she felt about it, she stayed right behind her, uh, new mother, who was leading the way. Once they got their, Sandkit could see a family of dark-skinned two-legs getting into a monster. She had heard of these monsters that went across thunderpath through the elders, and it scared her about to death. But, for some reason, she really trusted this strange ginger cat. Seeing Gingerstar jump into an open "mouth" of the monter, and rest on it's "tongue" comfortably. "Come on, kit! They will leave you! You have nothing to fear, I promise!" Gingerstar sounded urgent and sincere. Quickly, Sandkit jumped into the monster after her, well, adopted mother right before a two-leg closed the monster's mouth once again. The dark-skinned two-legs ahead of them didn't even seem to notice the two cats in the back seat. That's when the monster started to move, but Sandkit was trying to be brave for her new mum, and she had to be just a calm as she was being, which, amazingly, was pretty calm.
The monster was on the move for what seemed like hours at a time. After those few hours, the two-legs would stop the monster and open its "mouths" to get out and take a break. Actually, Sandkit was kind of enjoying this. It was new and it was exciting. She and her new mum had talked non-stop since the first five minutes they were in the monster together. Sandkit had learned that there were cat clans everywhere, and she belonged to one in Africa. She was actually the leader of Riverclan in Kenya, and the language she spoke was called Swhili. She had told her that, in Swhili, her name would be Tifukinda, which would be translated to Sandyoung, because they use 'young' instead of 'kit' and 'tooth' instead of 'paw' for an apprentice. But their leader's still used star at the ending of their names. Sandkit told Gingerstar all about her young life, which wasn't much, but enough for their conversation to last. Sandkit liked her new name, Tifukinda, and decided that never again would she be called Sandkit. No, now she would be known everywhere and to everyone as Tifukinda.
The cycle of driving and stopping went on for what seemed like forever, and the leader and the kit were running out of things to talk about. But after many, many, MANY hours of driving, the monster stopped for good and the "mouth" was opened for the two cats to come out. One two-leg gently picked up Gingerstar, and another picked up Sandkit. "It's alright. I'm with them, and apparently they know that you are with me," said the flame-colored leader in that relaxing voice she had. The sandy kit released her muscles from their tensed position and allowed the two-leg to carry her with ease. The two-legs holding the two relaxed cats talked to another two-leg and got onto a big thing that floated on the ocean, which made Sandkit's stomach churn inside of her. Their were many other two-legs, but no other cats in site. But Sandkit stayed calm. She had to prove herself worthy to her new mum. She didn't want to be chased away now, she didn't even know where she was! Even though she though of Gingerstar as too nice for that, she didn't want to take any chances.
The cat and the kit were carried down rickety old stairs and put into a little kennel together that was beside another group of cats' kennel. Their kennel had fresh, warm straw as the flooring and had two little cat beds along with a scratching post that was bolted to the floor like the beds. "Now what?" asked Sandkit to Gingerstar, who was laying down in one of the beds. "We wait here for two days until they reach Kenya, where the two-legs will take us of this ship and to their home. We leave their home and go to my clan, who is waiting for me." Gingerstar let out a small yawn and looked around out of boredom. Sandkit just couldn't keep her mouth shut and she asked, "But how do you know they will be waiting? How do you know that your deputy didn't take your place thinking you were dead?" The ginger she-cat just gave a small laugh and answered to her new daughter, "Because, my dear, I told them exactly where I would be. I went with the two-legs on purpose. I wanted to see what it was like on a different continent in the clans. I was hoping to find something out that I could help my clan." Sandkit nodded, thinking of it as a very wise plan. She was going to ask what she learned, but noticed that the flame-pelted leader was already fast asleep. It had been a long day. For the both of them.
And so the ship sailed for two days, just as Gingerstar had predicted, before it finally stopped and the same two two-legs went to pick them up and take them off the boat. It was morning, which meant it was hot, but not as hot as it was going to get later in the afternoon. The two-legs carried them to their little house in a little village, then set them down on the hot, dry ground. Gingerstar nodded as if to say 'follow me' and began to sprint forward, with Sandkit at her side. They were sprinting for only about five minutes before they slowed to a walk. The scent of Kenyan Riverclanners filled their nostrils, which made Sandkit tense with excitement, and Gingerstar tense with emotion. She had been away from home for too long. Standing tall and proud, the leader walked across the border with the excited Sandkit at her side, looking just as proud. The whole clan stopped what they were doing to rush to her and greet her, then question her about the young sand-colored kit that walked with her. But Gingerstar ignored them all, even her deputy, until she came to a tree, which was actually the first one Sandkit had seen since she arrived here, and she sat under it with Sandkit still at her side. "Every cat who is old enough to see and hear unless you are deaf or blind gather round." Sandkit was surprised at how large the clan was, and this was discluding all the queens who had to look after their kits who were still too young to attend.
And so Gingerstar began to tell them all, in their language of course, about her journey and lastly about Sandkit and how she had adopted her as her own kit. There were mumbles among the crowd, but nobody seemed at all angry, so the meeting was dismissed. Gingerstar walked to her leaders den, keeping Sandkit at her side. "I will allow you to stay in my den with me until you become an apprentice, then you will stay in the apprentice's den with the other apprentices, got it? Good." Sandkit walked towards the entrance and said back to Gingerstar, "Hey... Mum.... Where is the river?" The flame-toned she-cat smiled and said, "I was hoping you would ask that. Just follow me, Sandkit." Sandkit nodded and prepared to play another game of 'follow the leader.' She just couldn't believe how dry it was here. How come their river didn't just dry up? These were the kinds of things that haunted Sandkit's mind, and the worst part was that no one ever had an answer.
The river was long, but not very wide. It was connected to the ocean, but somehow the water wasn't salty. It was clear and clean. By the time they got their, there was already a bunch of apprentices and kits splashing and playing around. "Don't get into too much trouble," Gingerstar said with a wink, then walked away back to her den. Sandkit looked at all the other kits, who were all looking at her. Shrugging, she just jumped in, not caring what the others thought of her. "Hello," said a white tom apprentice. "I'm-" he had to think a minute, "Longtooth. You are Sandkit, right?" Sandkit nodded. He wasn't very good at English, but at least he could speak it. "Yeah, I'm the one and only Sandy. How did you learn my language, anyway? Do you think you could teach my your language if I work with you on English?" Longtooth's face seemed to light up. "I was taught by me mother, who learn it by Tangawizinyota... um... Me mean... Gingerstar. And Me would love to help you, if you help me!"
And so, Sandkit and Longtooth became best friends. Longtooth didn't have a mentor yet, and so they had all the time in the world to teach each other. After two moons, Sandkit was fluent in Swahili and Longtooth was fluent in English. Soon, Sandkit, now Sandtooth, was assigned a mentor named Simbamalaika - Lionfur. And Tawilijino -Longtooth- became the apprenice of Tangawizinyota -Gingerstar- herself. Tifujino -Sandtooth- learned many things as an apprentice. She also saw many things. Her mentor taught her what each nearby animal was and showed her each so she could get their scent memorized. There was the elephant, the zebra, the giraffe, the lion, the cheetah, the gazelle, the hyena, and many many more. And even so... Sandtooth grew more and more homesick each and every day. She couldn't help but miss her biological family so much it made her sick. She loved it here, yes, but she just had to go home soon...
Sandtooth soon grew from apprentice to warrior and her name changed from Tifujino -Sandtooth- to Tifuchanua -Sandflower-. She had finally gotten a plan in her head on leaving, but there was one problem. After all those moons she had spent with Longtooth (now Longclaw)... Well, she had fallen in love with him. She wanted so badly to be him mate; To be with him forever and for always. And she knew, just knew, that he loved her back. Oh, how she hated love! But she only wanted to stay with her love, while she needed to be with her family once again. Sandflower found Longtooth laying by the river and walked up to him with tears in her beautiful, sea-green eyes. "Longclaw...-" That was all she was able to choke out. Longclaw immediantly turned to her with his bright blue eyes, which made her heart feel like it just ripped in half. "What's up, Sand?" he asked in a quiet and caring tone. "I-I have to go... My family... They're on the other side of the ocean... I need to go to them again or I will never feel complete... I... Just have to go..." Hot tears flooded her eyes and spilled down her cheeks as she stood up and began to run away. "Wait!" Yelled Longclaw, but she didn't wait. "You can't leave!" he said, his eyes large with confusion and loss. "I love you!" his voice was far away now. Sandflower was leaving behind a trail of tears as she ran. She had told everyone else good-bye, and now it was time to go... Home...
What happened to Sandflower you may ask? What was her plan? Well, Sandflower walked on board the first ship that came to the harbor and hid downstairs where the other pets were and had conversations with them for many, many moons. You see, the ship had many, many other stops, and never seemed to go to the one she wanted until about 24 moons later. She felt weird being on solid ground that didn't rock and shake during a storm, but it also felt good. She was close to home. It took another 6 moons just for her to find her clan again. She had to backtrack the thunderpath all the way back to the two-legs old house, then go back into the forest and try to scent out her clan again. This wasn't hard, and soon she was home again. An elder had recognized her immediantly, and everyone greeted her. At first, it felt so strange that everyone was speaking English ((well, kitty English. xD)), and at first, she almost forgot the language herself! But it soon all came back to her and she told everyone of her adventure and how she had lived in the Kenyan Thunderclan. She didn't mention Longclaw, however, because she didn't want to cry again...
Join Me [[To understand this, you gotta read her history, or at least the last paragraph. xD]]
Thump, thump, thump. Creeeeeaaaaak!!! The sound of a two-legs large feet stepping heavily and clumsily down the rickety wooden stairs of the rocking ship could be heard below deck, and a beautiful sand-colored she-cat ran into a shadowy corner to hide. She couldn't let them see her at the least. Why, if they saw her, they would think of her as a mere stray and throw her overboard. Yes, she could swim perfectly well, but not for endless miles in the ocean, especially when she would be perfect shark bait. She was taking her chances as it was, and she didn't want to take that chance. The sandy she-cat watched with sharp sea-green eyes as the two-leg gently put down a beautiful, sleek and slender gray tabby cat down in one of the many lined-up kennels. The tan she didn't even dare to breathe until the uneven footsteps of the two-leg were no longer heard. Finally, after what seemed like moons, she came out of her hiding to take a look at this new... Kittypet. The gray tabby she had lovely, groomed fur and a diamond color that shimmered in the light. The pampered cat walked up to the wired fence of her kennel and looked at the strange tan cat studying her. "I am Anabelle," she said with pride, confidence, and in a funny accent. The tan she just studied her with no emotion in her face. "I am Tifuchanua. Or, in your tongue, Sandflower." The tan she -Sandflower- then walked away with not so much as a glance more. In her mind, there was no sense in communicating with kittypets. The only thing they were ever good for, anyway, was looking pretty, which some of them can't even pull off. And nearly all of them wouldn't be anywhere near beautiful without their pampering two-legs. It drove Sandflower insane, and she decided to just stay away from them.
The next few hours were as boring and seemingly endless, as they usually were. And, as always, Sandflower would get hungry, and she would steal some food from a kittypet. It was simple. All she had to do was climb up the old wired fence of a kennel, then eat their food. Was it mean? Yes, I guess you could say it was a little mean. But it was her only chance at survival. Besides, it's not like most the cats in the kennels looked like they needed any more food anyway. But most would just stand back in astonishment and ask her, "How do you do that?" And Sandflower would just reply simply, "Moons of wild experience and training." No kittypet had ever challenged her at this, because they were all weak and lacked strength, while her build was like Superman Strength to them. They just couldn't possibly pick a fight with her while holding any hope of ever winning.
But meal time was over, and now Sandflower was napping in her own little dark corner. She was tired and just wanted to think, which is what she felt like she always did. She didn't dream, though, of course, because only creatures who were in a deep sleep could dream, and she couldn't afford to go into a deep sleep these days. It was too risky. If a two-leg came down the stairs and picked her up, she wouldn't know until it was too late, and putting up a fight would be near to hopeless. So therefor, she had to sleep as lightly as possible, so that even the little sound will wake he up. No, she didn't get much any sleep this way, but it was the only way to garauntee her safety. The sandy she-cat's eyelids popped open and she quickly jumped up. The ship was rocking more than usual for some reason. It was actually rocking to its sides so far, that she began to slide. Sandflower didn't know what was happening, and she wasn't about to ask. Besides, who was there to ask? No one but a bunch of squawking and squealing kittypets, who were all getting sea-sick in their kennels. Lovely. Sandflower got herself together and thought a minute. It didn't take too long before she realized what this was. It was a storm. On her journey to Kenya through ship, Gingerstar had explained to her what a storm was in case one hit them, which it never did, and so she would be prepared. There was a clap of thunder followed by an usual light. Upstairs the men and women were yelling, sounding scared. This was Sandflower's first storm, and she could only pray that she would survive it...
