Honeypaw opened her mouth to drink in the scents around her, but there were no traces of a RiverClan patrol close by. She creeped out of the bush she was hiding under. Her head swung back and forth searching the trees for any sign of her Clan-mates. good Honeypaw thought, I'm alone. She trotted over to the Twoleg half-bridge and stepped carefully onto the wooden half-bridge. The wood felt strange under her paws, but she continued to the edge of the half-bridge. At the end, she peered over, to see the deep, dark water under her. Suddenly, Honeypaw swung around. Her ears pricked, and her eyes grew round. She had heard someone.

Powderpaw was heading to the river to catch some prey, when Honeypaw spun around on the half-bridge. "Wooh!!!! It's just me! Powderpaw!" shouted Powderpaw heading up to the bridge. Powderpaw took one cautious step onto the bridge, but then was ok after that. Powderpaw had only been on the bridge once and she was afraid of it a little. "Whatcha doing on the bridge, Honeypaw?" questioned Powderpaw looking at the river in search of any sign of fish.

"Oh nothing," mewed Honeypaw, "Exploring. I've never been on it before; the Warriors say it's dangerous." She ran around in a circle, "I don't see what's so dangerous though. There's no Twolegs here. What is there to worry about?" She peered over the side of the Half-bridge again.

Powderpaw heard the bridge make a squeak noise and got scared. "Wooh! Scared Me a little. I have only been on here once. I didn't see any twolegs then either." exclaimed Powderpaw. She looked down at the river and watched the water flow under the bridge.

"Hmm..." wondered Honeypaw. The warriors seemed so worried about this thing. There were no Twolegs here. Maybe she should tell them that they were being mouse-brained! no! she thought, bad idea. We're not supposed to be on this thing. We'd be in so much trouble! She gave a little snort of amusement. She was a rebel! The idea made her laugh. I'm not really doing any harm. she thought. She simply smiled at Powderpaw.

Powderpaw looked over her shoulder to see if anything was there. There was nothing. She just felt like something was watching them. oh well, she said silently. She stalked off the bridge and to the river bank. Powderpaw spotted a fish. As the fish approached her she swiped her hand into the water and caught the fish.

Honeypaw smiled as she saw Powderpaw catching the fish. She was just about to fallow her, when she heard a rustle in the leaves. She froze. Was someone watching them? Honeypaw's fur bristled, and her eyes grew huge. There was nowhere to hide. She sprang under the Twoleg half-bridge, hoping not to be noticed. "Powderpaw!" she hissed, "Someone's coming! Hide!"

Powderpaw was digging a hole for the fish. She had no clue about it until she heard Honeypaw call to her. "One sec." she whispered trying to hurry so she wasn't noticed. The rustling was getting closer. She didn't have time to finish. She put the fish into her mouth and headed for cover under the bridge.

(ooc. We'll need someone to be the intruder.)
Honeypaw crouched there, shaking with dread. If they were caught, they would be in so much trouble! She could smell her own fear-scent. mouse-dung! she cursed herself. Anyone could smell me easily now![/i} She glaced up at the half-bridge, standing above her. The bottom was covered with mold. She peered out from between the planks of wood. No one had appeared yet, but Honeypaw could smell the scent becoming stronger and stronger with each second. What are we going to do? she wondered.

Powderpaw was just as scared as Honeypaw. She knew, as well, that they would be in trouble if they were spotted. She just kept low trying to stay out of sight. Man, I should have just fled, she thought. "What shall we do?" she whispered.
ooc: yeah, we do!

"What are a couple of apprentices without their mentors doing way out here?" An inquisitive voice asked. A slim and muscles figure slinked out of the bushes, darkly tipped silver ears pricking in curiosity. The silver bengal titled his head to the side, sapphire eyes falling upon Honeypaw and Powderpaw. "Well? Spikeshard asked. The RiverClan warrior was a young warrior himself, but still older than the two apprentices before him.

"We were, umm," Honeypaw was searching frantically for an excuse, "fishing! We found some fish in the water here." She motioned with her nose over to where Powderpaw had buried her fish.

Powderpaw looked at Honeypaw. "Er...Yeah, see it is right over here." said Powderpaw making her way to where she buried the fish. She dug it up and put it in her mouth. "See!" she said while the fish was still in her mouth.

Honeypaw gave a look of defiance and she almost smiled to herself as she realized how lucky they were that Powderpaw had caughten that fish. "We were only hunting for the Clan. It's a tough Leaf-bare, we thought we would need everything we could catch.

The silver bengal edged closer to the river, sapphire eyes taking in the sight of the fish. After first they blinked in bewilderment, before the dark blue irises took in the picture of the two apprentices on the log. Spikeshard pulled his head back a little and gave a small purr of amusement. "I used to sneak put of camp too, when I was younger. I took this very same route and ended up near a cliff." The RiverClan warrior mewed, his tail swishing back and forth. "After the cliff though, I learned to stay in camp until I was a warrior myself." Spikeshard added. The older cat edged forward again, peering softly into the stream, purring a small tune to himself.
