Grayfur burned hate filled eyes into Jinxifre's black pupils. His lips turned up into an furious snarl. He spat at Jinx, then hissed loudly. "You're pathetic!" he snarled.
He looked over at Firefox, growling and snarling. "get back to camp!" his hissed, and growled loudly. "Go hunt somewhere else, you useless piece of meat!"

"S-s-sorry. You don't have to yell at me. I was only helping the clan." cried Foxfire looking down at his paws. "Would have caught something if you guys were quieter on your patrol." growled Foxfire at the deputy.
Foxfire then looked over at Jinxfire and wondered why Grayfur was was yelling at her. Foxfire also wondered why Grayfur was in such a bad mood.

"Fine!" Grayfur spat. "Want to be useful? Join this foxdung of a patrol!" he roared. Grayfur went over to foxfire and bent down to try to drag him over. "If you protest, I'll go straight to Cloudystar," he threatened.

Foxfire sighed and let Grayfur drag him a while, but then he squirmed free and got into the patrol himself. "Ok...I will join this patrol that you call foxdung." said Foxfire. He looked up at Grayfur and said silently, Why is he in such a bad mood?

"Get in line," he growled quietly. he looked over at the other cats. They seemed to have no problem with him, but that was just grayfur's prospective. he turned around th face Foxfire. "You seem like a well cat, why don't you lead?" he asked.

"Ok!" sounded Foxfire with his head lifted. Foxfire headed to the front and took the lead of the patrol. Foxfire looked back at the patrol and questioned, "Where is this patrol, patroling?"

"Ok..." Foxfire paused and waited until Grayfur was out of reach to hear anything. "What was that all about?" questioned Foxfire. "Why was he so mad?" added Foxfire. He looked back at Jinxfire looking for an answer from her since Grayfur yelled at her.

Blinking slightly at the angry deputy, she inwardly sighed with relief. So they would not fight. Good.
Duskyrose made a wry face at the newcomer's question. "Sounds like he has a furball stuck in his throat," she responded. "Jinxfire made a comment he didn't appreciate. Even though we insisted that Jinxfire didn't mean it, well, Grayfur got... angry. Anyway, it's over. So, where are we going?"

"Ok. Lets head to the Green-Leaf Twoleg place and then down along the river." said Foxfire scanning the patrol. Foxfire looked ahead and saw the twoleg place where there is only twolegs in Green-leaf. "What do you guys say? Yes? No?" questioned Foxfire.

Jinxfire sat where he was. His back facing all the others, including Grayfur when he spat at him. Jinxfire only closed his crystal blue eyes, and tried to block out the noise of Grayfur's voice. Though he failed, and heard all of what was happening. He was greatful once Grayfur had left. "You guys go ahead," he meowed as calmly as he could mange. The large tom stood up, but didn't turn his face to look at any of teh cats. "I'm going to just,... not, patrol." That was all Jinxfire could get out. And with that, the massive tom stared to walk away slowly.

Foxfire watched Jinxfire walk away. "Ok, we'll miss you." Foxfire scanned the whole patrol waiting for a response. "Wow. Grayfur most have really put it hard on Jinxfire. Grayfur doesn't have to be so mean about some things." said Foxfire. He turned his attention in front of him at the green-leaf twoleg place. Foxfire put his paw on his scar as it started to burn. Sheesh...I have never seen Grayfur act this angry. I have seen him act mean, but never this mean to make a cat leave a patrol in shock. said Foxfire silently.

Duskyrose sighed. "I don't know what's wrong with him," she responded to Foxfire. "Grayfur, I mean. He's been a bit touchy since we all woke up in the warriors den. He walked in with prey before dawn. It was a bit weird, and Jinxfire made a comment about it. Grayfur didn't like it."
The she-cat shook her head. "Well... Shall we proceed? There's no point dwelling on it. If we don't get somewhere, Grayfur will just come back to yell at us."

"Oh...thats what has happened! Wierd!" stated Foxfire looking over at the direction Grayfur and the direction Jinxfire went. Hope Grayfur doesn't run into Jinxfire out of the camp, said Foxfire silently. "Well, lets get going." stated Foxfire starting to walk toward his desired area.
