Jinxfire layed on a bed of moss. Though he was tired, no sleep was coming to him. With a sigh, he oicked his head up and looked around.

Searedhearts glowing eyes opened to narrow slits. Grumbling to himself, he lifted his head in search of what had awoken him.
"Jinxfire."
He mewed his clanmate's name in a cool tone. Sitting up to face her, he asked,
"Whats wrong with you? Can't any cat have a chance for a good night's rest?"

Just then, Grayfur joined the scene. He was dirty from hunting, and carried a mouse in his jaws.
"I'm taking this to the fresh kill pile," he mewed. He looked over at Jinxfire. "Why are you up?" he asked.

Kestrelclaw awoke with a start at the sound of voices. Flicking open his eyes, he snorted at Searedheart. Trust that snob to act like that towards a she-cat.
"Well Searedheart, how are we supposed to get a good night's rest with your inconsiderate chattering?"
He retorted, while sitting up. Sighing, Kestrelclaw thought to himself how insane this actually was. I must have been past moonhigh, and here they were. Sitting in the Warriors Den, bickering about nothing.

Grayfur just tossed his head at Kestrelclaw. "I need you to lead a patrol over the boarders," he mewed.

"Well, I'll leave this up to you," Grayfur muttered and left.

Jinxfire head his head low. 'I'm,... I'm sorry. I,. I didn't mean,... to wake anyone." studdered the new warrior. He was used to being yelled at, but not all at once. Jinxfire looked over at the deputy. He had always thought it would be cool to be a deputy. Jinxfire stood up and said softly. 'Need me to do anything?"

[grayfur]

"Well, can you lead the patrols?" Grayfur smiled. "As the legend goes, the warrior Fireheart was just like you."

[dream.]

Searedheart snorted.
"Yeah. If I recall correctly, all Fireheart's clanmates could say about him, was that he made a load of racket while he was sleeping too."
He rested his dark tabby head back on his paws, and mumbled,
"I'm going back to sleep, if anyone cares. Unlike all of you, I actually need some rest."

Jinxfire started to smiled, then frowned more when Searedheart yelled at him again. "Ya, sure, I'll lead the patrol." he meowed quietly. Trying not to wake Searedheart, and because he was nervous of all the other cats around.

"Good," Grayfur smiled. Jinxfire had a lot of spunk.

"Does anyone want to go on the patrol?" Jinxfire meowed loudly, then remembered Searedheart, and hoped he hadden destired him again.

"I'll go," responded a soft voice from the shadows.
Light blue eyes pierced the darkness of the warriors den; a gray-furred she-cat stepped forward.
"It's not like I'll get back to sleep anyway," Duskyrose grinned. "No offense intended."
She tilted her head at the other cats innocently.
And now we can all be quiet... I hope... she added silently. Her wide, intense blue eyes did not blink as she looked each of the other cats over.

Winterstripe had been awake the whole time and waited until now to jump up excidedly. "I'll come with you!" she meowed without a hint of sleepiness in her voice then remembered that the other cats were sleeping and looked around the checking to see if she had woken anyone.

ic: Jinxfire smiled and meowed, "Alright," he smiled at Winterstripe. SHe was a very pretty she-cat, and Jinxfire couldn't help but like her. "Um,.. want to go now?" he asked. He had never really been in charge before.
