Mawkpaw managed to step out from the bush only to run back in after being nearly trampled. He cowered beneath the bush whimpering trying to regain his bravery and leave the bush again. This time Mawkpaw crept out from the side of the bush and cautiously made his way into the open where he was engulfed in the battle.

Grunting that he was awakened, the apprentice opened his yellow-green eyes. Adopaw got a clear view of the raging battle. Quickly jumping to his large paws, he leap into the action. The tan tomcat tackled the first cat he saw, luckily it was an apprentice [Mawkpaw]. He was the equal size of the ShadowClan apprentice, but with larger paws. Adopaw's claws were unsheathed, and he tried to scratch the enemy tomcat's fur off.

Spottedstump gave a grunt as she pushed a ShadowClan warrior off of her. The ShadowClan she-cat gave a yowl of alarm as Spottedstump bit her tail, and then the cat ran off. Spottedstump spat after her. Her hope lifted as she realized that many of the ShadowClan cats were leaving! Their Fleeing! She thought, We're going to win!
